WHAT IS THIS OPPORUNITY?
We are seeking an experienced Technology Supplier Manager and Third-Party Risk professional to join the Technology & Operations Supplier Management Office (T&O SMO) team. The successful candidate will supervise Technology & Operations (1st Line of Defense) adherence to the Enterprise Third Party Risk Management Policy and Standards, lead the implementation of third-party risk management programs, and provide expertise in supplier risk management.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead the T&O exit strategy center of excellence, establishing best practices and frameworks to enable safe and efficient supplier transitions and offboarding
  • Operationalize issues management and operational excellence practices within T&O to proactively identify, escalate, and resolve supplier-related risks and performance gaps
  • Conduct regular T&O portfolio assessments, establish health metrics and dashboards, and provide executive reporting on supplier performance, risk exposure, and strategic opportunities
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and coordinate actions across Procurement, Third Party Risk, IT Risk, Architecture, BCM/DR, and T&O business units to ensure holistic supplier management
  • Establish and maintain T&O SRMA Risk Register, implement a structured escalation process, and drive timely resolution of supplier-related risks and performance issues
  • Lead the monitoring and adherence to third-party risk policy and standards requirements within the 1st Line of Defense, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead communication and training initiatives on supplier management programs and policies across T&O
  • Identify process improvements, implement efficiency measures, and establish KPIs to enhance T&O supplier management effectiveness
  • Participate in the implementation of Third-Party Risk programs, initiatives, and escalations in support of T&O objectives
  • Support regulatory filings and responses in partnership with 2nd Line of Defense, where appropriate
  • Lead/participate in inquiries and provide artifacts for internal and external audits as requested
  • Maintain awareness of outsourcing regulatory requirements and T&O supplier inventory

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in technology risk and governance practices
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services or other regulated industries
  • 5+ years of proven Supplier Management experience
  • Strong business, technology, and financial acumen, plus a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain transparent, sustainable partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Think strategically and lead teams effectively with strong interpersonal skills
  • Develop and execute supplier risk management strategies with measurable impact
  • Navigate ambiguity with flexibility and a collaborative, cross-functional approach
  • Take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate client-centric thinking with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Hold a university degree or equivalent experience in supplier management, risk management, or regulatory compliance

Nice To Have:

  • Risk assessment and quantification methodologies, conflict and issue resolution, and escalation experience
  • Experience with process mapping and analysis techniques, such as swimlane diagrams or value stream mapping
  • Knowledge of change management principles and strategies
  • Formal supplier management certifications or designations
  • Knowledge of technology (software, SaaS, networks, cybersecurity, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and tools
