Wealth Management Intern
We are seeking a Wealth Management Intern to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in financial advising while supporting advisor teams, client relationships, and financial planning workflows across Keating & Associates. The Keating Wealth Management Internr Internship Program is designed to provide practical exposure to financial planning, advisor workflows, and client service environments to support the professional development of aspiring advisors.
As an Wealth Management Intern. you will work alongside experienced advisors and financial planning teams in a hands-on learning environment designed to provide meaningful exposure to advisor responsibilities and financial planning workflows. This internship is designed for individuals who naturally take initiative, move quickly from idea to action, communicate with confidence, and thrive in environments that involve challenge, variety, and performance expectations. Successful interns often demonstrate initiative by contributing ideas that support operational efficiency, workflow improvements, and positive client service experiences.
High-performing interns may be considered for future opportunities within the firm, including advisor career paths, subject to business needs and individual performance. This internship is ideal for individuals with a strong internal drive to lead, perform, and grow into a client-facing advisory career.
This position is non-exempt, located onsite in our Manhattan, KS office and reports to the Internship Manager
Interns will gain hand- on, real word experience in areas including, but not limited to:
  • Supporting advisors with client meeting preparation and follow-up
  • Gathering and organizing client financial information and documentation
  • Assisting with building and updating financial plans in planning software
  • Preparing presentation materials and client-facing deliverables
  • Participating in mock client meetings and assisting with educational financial planning discussions under supervision.
  • Assisting advisor teams with preparing client reporting materials and conducting market and financial planning research.
  • Assisting with audits and data analysis projects
  • Collaborating with advisor teams across the organization
  • Building relationships with professionals and community connections
  • Recommending process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Adapting quickly to changing priorities and client needs
  • Contributing ideas, tools, and solutions to improve outcomes

As part of the internship experience, interns may also take on new learning opportunities and assist with emerging priorities that help drive client success and organizational growth.
Education
  • Junior standing or higher, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or minor in Financial Planning, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strategic sales coursework or related business development experience preferred.

Salary Range: $15 per hour
