The Role:
The Department of Information Technology Management invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor whose primary teaching responsibilities include the department's IT Management core curriculum. Areas of instruction include leadership, professional communication, data privacy, cybersecurity, and foundational courses in information technology management.
The Department is dedicated to preparing students to become visionary leaders who transform how organizations manage their most valuable assets: people, projects, information, and technology.

Minimum Qualifications

- Terminal degree relevant for the discipline (ABD candidates may be considered; however, the terminal degree must be completed within one year of start date).
- At least five years of industry experience in information technology management, privacy and security, organizational management and leadership, and/or fields related to the discipline.
- Possess superior teaching abilities.
- Willingness to teach a wide range of courses at all levels and modalities.
- Ability to meet or exceed tenure requirements.
- Teaching, research, service or other experience that has prepared the candidate to contribute to CWU's vision to be a model learning community of access and opportunity.

- Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in IT management or related disciplines using student-centered instructional practices.
- Experience or interest in developing and teaching online, hybrid, and competency-based courses.
- Experience in curriculum development and improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate current and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and data-informed decision-making, into teaching and scholarly activity
- Evidence of an active or emerging program of scholarly activity, preferably with an applied focus in information technology management or related fields.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Annual Salary : $76,000 - $85,000, based on a full-time nine-month appointment.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
Appointment: Full-Time, Tenure-Track, 9 Month Appointment. Additional Summer teaching may be available. Central Washington University is on the quarter system with appointments from mid-September through mid-June.
