Job description

TechTrans International provides language services and travel logistics - language teaching, interpreting, translating, travel coordination and much more. We have international offices, staff and clients calling us from around the world.
We are seeking an experienced, remote Technical Writer within the United States for a contingent opportunity (based on contract award). In this journeyman-level role, you will perform technical writing and documentation support functions in support of the ILS2 Task Order execution, including the development, editing, and maintenance of program documentation, reports, and deliverables. You will coordinate with cross-functional personnel to gather, organize, and refine technical and operational information into standardized formats. This position focuses strictly on documentation, editing, and compliance formatting to enable informed decision-making and program oversight; it does not provide program-level authority, operational execution, or technical system support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Documentation Development: Perform technical writing, editing, and maintenance of program documentation, reports, and official deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure all written materials are clear, accurate, and aligned with contract requirements to support seamless communication with Government stakeholders.
  • Information Gathering: Coordinate with logistics, sustainment, and contingency operations personnel to gather, organize, and refine complex operational data into standardized formats.
  • Deliverable Preparation: Support the preparation of Program Management Plans, status reports, transition documentation, and other required contract deliverables.
  • Standardization & Compliance: Establish and maintain document templates, style guides, and formatting standards to ensure consistency across all program tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Experience: 3 to 10 years of professional experience supporting technical writing, editing, records management, document control, reporting, configuration documentation, and knowledge management activities.
  • Education: Bachelor's (BA/BS) or Master's (MA/MS) degree.
  • Education/Experience Equivalencies:
    • High School Diploma / GED: 7 years of relevant experience
    • Associate's Degree: 6 years of relevant experience
    • BA/BS Degree: 4-6 years of relevant experience
    • MA/MS Degree: 2 years of relevant experience
    • Doctorate Degree: 0 years of experience
  • Competency: Journeyman personnel are expected to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Preferred Credentials: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), records management certification, administrative professional, travel coordination, or equivalent business operations credentials.
