ProSync is seeking a passionate Technical Writer to support integrated product support services (IPSS) by developing, revising, and maintaining clear, accurate, and standardized technical documentation essential to lifecycle management and mission readiness. This role contributes directly to streamlined processes, improved efficiency, and reduced total cost of ownership by ensuring that technical information-such as manuals, procedures, reports, and instructional materials-is complete, current, and aligned with operational, maintenance, and training requirements. The Technical Writer plays a key role in supporting quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across diverse systems, platforms, and support environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Technical Writer is responsible for producing and maintaining technical and administrative documentation that supports product lifecycle activities, maintenance operations, training programs, and customer service functions. This includes writing, editing, and organizing material for manuals, procedures, reports, briefs, proposals, and instructional publications.

The writer gathers information from supervisors, engineers, technicians, and subject matter experts; reviews existing documentation; and observes operational or developmental activities to ensure accuracy and completeness. They access technical data such as drawings, specifications, parts lists, and manufacturer information to integrate technical details into clear, concise, and standardized documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, revising, and formatting technical publications related to system operation, maintenance, installation, and lifecycle support.
  • Organizing material according to established standards for clarity, structure, terminology, and technical accuracy.
  • Reviewing and verifying technical content through observation, research, and collaboration with SMEs.
  • Selecting and integrating supporting graphics such as diagrams, charts, sketches, and photographs.
  • Maintaining documentation records, version control, and revision histories to support quality assurance and government oversight.
  • Assisting with layout, formatting, duplication, and distribution of finalized materials.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by updating documentation to reflect new technologies, revised procedures, or evolving mission requirements.
  • Ensuring all documentation aligns with regulatory, operational, and lifecycle support standards.

This role directly supports the mission by ensuring personnel have accurate, accessible, and missionready documentation across multiple platforms, facilities, and operational environments.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in technical writing, documentation development, or related technical communication roles.
  • Ability to write, revise, and organize technical material for manuals, procedures, reports, and instructional publications.
  • Experience gathering technical information from SMEs, drawings, specifications, and operational observations.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical data into clear, concise, and standardized documentation.
  • Familiarity with technical data sources such as blueprints, sketches, parts lists, and manufacturer catalogs.
  • Skill in selecting and integrating visual elements (diagrams, charts, sketches, photos) to support written content.
  • Strong organizational skills, including maintaining documentation files, revision logs, and version control.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, supervisors, and program personnel.
  • Adaptability to evolving mission needs, new technologies, and updated lifecycle or maintenance requirements.
  • Commitment to quality assurance, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards.
  • A minimum Secret security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position.
