Description
Tharros is seeking a Technical Writer for an upcoming program specializing in technical and analytical services that bolster USCYBERCOM's ability to counter cyber threats and carry out full spectrum cyber operations.
The Technical Writer supports mission and operational documentation initiatives by developing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation, operational reports, product manuals, and executive briefings within classified mission environments. This role works closely with operational teams, engineers, analysts, and leadership to transform complex technical and operational information into clear, accurate, and professionally formatted documentation. In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of technical documentation development, including research, drafting, editing, formatting, graphics coordination, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with organizational standards and mission requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain technical articles, operational reports, user guides, manuals, briefings, procedures, and mission documentation supporting cyber operations and enterprise initiatives
  • Translate complex technical, operational, and analytical information into clear and concise written products for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts, analysts, engineers, and operational personnel to gather information and validate technical accuracy
  • Manage document formatting, layout integration, graphics coordination, and publication preparation in accordance with organizational requirements
  • Ensure all documentation complies with corporate style guides, formatting standards, security policies, and applicable documentation procedures
  • Edit and review documents for grammar, consistency, clarity, technical accuracy, and version control compliance
  • Support development and maintenance of document templates, content standards, and quality assurance processes
  • Coordinate inclusion of graphics, charts, diagrams, and visual aids to enhance readability and presentation quality
  • Maintain documentation repositories, records management systems, and controlled document libraries within classified environments
  • Support preparation of executive-level presentations, operational briefings, and mission support documentation as required

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • 3+ years of experience supporting technical writing, documentation development, editing, or communications efforts within DoD, Intelligence Community, or technical environments preferred
  • Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail and formatting accuracy
  • Experience developing technical documentation, manuals, briefings, or operational reports
  • Familiarity with corporate style guides, document control procedures, and publication standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document production tools
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines within fast-paced operational environments
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills with the ability to work directly with technical and operational subject matter experts
