Job description

Job Summary
RDSI has an opening for a senior Electronic Engineer in their North Kingstown, RI location. The successful candidate will provide technical support for submarine torpedo operation, hardware, and testing.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, Design, and Develop PCB layouts to meet military standards and requirements for new and existing lighting products.
  • Provide technical support for the development of and improvement of torpedo technology, concepts and solutions.
  • Interface with Government and Navy representatives.

Requirements
Must have minimum experience with one or more of the following work areas:
  • Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated submarine and torpedo subject matter experience.
  • Able to read and comprehend wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • General knowledge of torpedo system operation, hardware and software.
  • Able to interact with high level fleet personnel.
  • Perform system integration tasks.

Qualifications
  • Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills.
  • General knowledge of SSN and SSBN communication systems and operation.
