What is technical safety?

Technical safety refers to the field of ensuring that engineering systems, processes, and equipment operate without causing harm to people, the environment, or property. Professionals in this area assess risks, design safety measures, and implement safety management systems to prevent accidents and comply with regulations. Technical safety is particularly important in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, manufacturing, and construction, where hazardous materials and complex machinery are commonly used. The goal is to minimize the likelihood and impact of incidents through systematic analysis and control strategies.
