What You'll Do

As the Operations Supervisor, you'll oversee the daily performance of a team of field technicians while ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee development.

Lead & Develop Your Team
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of cable technicians.
  • Conduct ride-alongs, field coaching, and performance reviews that help technicians grow professionally.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-first culture.
Drive Operational Excellence
  • Plan daily workloads, routes, and technician assignments to maximize productivity.
  • Monitor workforce utilization, staffing levels, and service completion rates.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications.
Own Quality & Customer Experience
  • Perform quality control inspections and field audits.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Partner with technicians to improve first-time completion rates and customer satisfaction.
Improve Performance
  • Analyze operational metrics and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and profitability.
  • Track KPIs including:
    • Productivity
    • Quality scores
    • Repeat service calls
    • Customer satisfaction
    • Technician performance
    • Safety compliance
  • Develop action plans that continuously improve team performance.
Support Daily Operations
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, vehicles, and inventory.
  • Partner with dispatch and operations leadership to ensure efficient scheduling.
  • Assist with complex installations and technical troubleshooting when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer standards, and safety regulations.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional leadership skills.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunications, cable, fiber, or broadband operations
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing field technicians
  • Strong understanding of cable installation, service, troubleshooting, and quality standards
  • Excellent communication and coaching abilities
  • Proven ability to motivate teams while holding them accountable for results
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Comcast, Cox, Charter, or other major telecommunications providers
  • Knowledge of technician production metrics and operational reporting
  • Experience with workforce scheduling and dispatch coordination
  • OSHA or other telecommunications safety certifications
  • Experience managing performance through KPIs and data analysis
