Lead Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Position Summary:
The Lead Medical Laboratory Technician will oversee daily lab operations, ensure quality control standards, and support team members to ensure accurate and timely testing. This role is vital to maintaining the highest standards in laboratory testing, supporting patient care, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily laboratory operations, including scheduling, workflow, and staff coordination.
  • Perform, monitor, and interpret a wide range of laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain quality control protocols, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new and current laboratory staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Current MLT certification (ASCP or AMT preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of lab safety, quality control, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to teamwork and patient care.
