Job description

Job Description: The selected candidate will work as a Next Generation Automatic Test System (NGATS) technician for the Army in the office of the Product Director Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (PD TMDE). The duties will include the operation of the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to validate functional operation as well as troubleshooting of the ATE and test program set equipment. Additionally, the selected individual will be involved with the fielding of ATE and will travel to setup NGATS systems as well as provide instruction on the operation of the NGATS.

Full-Time

Worksite: Onsite, Redstone Arsenal, Travel Required

Duties include:

  • Operation and testing of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)
  • Fielding Test Equipment to various locations
  • Providing New Equipment Training (NET)
  • Reviewing and Updating Technical Manuals
  • Providing help desk support as needed

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years' experience, Associates in Engineering/Technical discipline degree with 5+ years' work experience
  • Experience with operation of ATE
  • Previous instructor training experience
  • Ability to perform majority of duties independent of direct supervision
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to effectively communicate through written and verbal reports to customer and direct supervision regarding worksite status
  • Existing Secret security clearance
  • Ability to pass Army deployment criteria
  • Be deployable worldwide for up to 90 days.
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Capable of climbing over 20'
