Location: McKinney Texas 75071
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Max Pay: $28.93/hr to $31.24/hr on W2

Candidates Screening:
Please ensure the following before submitting candidates:
Candidate must be flexible for shift coverage (including weekends and call-in needs).
Candidate must train on 1st shift (6–8 weeks) before moving to 2nd shift.
Candidates must be willing and comfortable working with high-voltage equipment.

Notes:
Shift: Both 1st and 2nd (indicate on the resume what shift the candidate is being submitted for)
The shift will be 9 hours with 30 minute lunch

Job Description :
seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Technical Support Associate to support our Operations Repair & Maintenance Team within Optics Manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring production readiness and uptime across multiple factories, including Optical Fabrication, Diamond Point Turning, Optical Coating, and Assembly/Test.
You will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Operations to proactively address factory equipment needs, implement preventive maintenance, and lead or support equipment upgrades and installations.
This is a highly hands-on, technical position in a fast-paced, high-demand defense manufacturing environment.
 
 Key Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronic, mechanical, and automated manufacturing equipment.
Lead or support installation and upgrade of new or existing production equipment.
Develop and follow preventive maintenance procedures (including Lockout/Tagout).
Use multimeters, current probes, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose complex issues.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure factory equipment is safe, reliable, and efficient.
Support layout planning, capital equipment procurement, and documentation updates.
Participate in call-in and weekend work as required to support critical operations.
Follow all OSHA and Raytheon safety protocols.
 
Required Skill Set :  
Hands-on equipment maintenance technician with 5–8 years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with high-voltage systems (480V, 208V, 110V, DC voltages).
Proficient in using multimeters, current probes, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and repair.
Able to train on 1st shift (6–8 weeks) and then move to 2nd shift with flexibility for weekend/call-in coverage.
Tenure and stability in prior roles are very important
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching as required by setup or maintenance tasks.
Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling tools, test equipment, and computers.
Ability to sit and focus on detailed tasks (e.g., wiring or board inspection).
Occasional lifting/moving of parts and equipment up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to safely navigate a production floor with tools, wiring, and machinery.
May work in moderate noise, temperature variations, or tight spaces.  
                                   
Desired Skills Set :
Experience with: Optical Coating (vacuum deposition) Diamond Point Turning RF Power Systems PLC Systems & Ladder Logic Strong initiative and ability to independently solve complex technical issues. Prior work experience in the optics, aerospace, or defense industries. Successful track record working under pressure in high-demand manufacturing settings.
 
Education Qualification :
Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related technical field.
