Summary:

Credit part-time, adjunct faculty teaching positions available inHVAC/R. Seeking motivated and knowledgeable individuals to instruct and facilitateHVAC/R learning in the classroom and lab environment. Additional opportunities may be considered for onsite training in industry.

Responsibilities include: Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus and outline (provided); Collaborate with program manager on curriculum development and lab improvements; Supervise independent and group projects, lab activities, or other training; Observe and evaluate student's work to determine progress, providing feedback, and making suggestions for improvement when necessary; Prepare content for classroom and labs for activities as required; Stay current of industry development and relay these changes to students as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Associates Degree or higher is preferred, but industry experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years inHVAC/R Industry.
  • EPASection 608 Technician Certification - Minimum: Types I & II (Universal preferred).
  • RSESorNATEindustry certifications preferred.
  • No previous teaching is required but the candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Moderate computer and technology skills to facilitate administrative and instructional requirements. Technical assistance will be provided as needed and learning workshops are offered on an ongoing basis.
