How you will make an impact:
If you have a passion for helping others with their computer and software needs and you enjoy working in a collaborative fast paced environment, you might be the perfect fit for our IT Technician II role. As an IT Technician II, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to end-users, resolving complex issues that are escalated from other IT teams. You will collaborate with other IT teams on various tasks, such as project management, systems monitoring, security incident response, and user provisioning and deployments. This role will allow you to explore different IT functions and develop new skills and competencies.
IT support:
  • Respond to incoming incidents and requests for end-user support with workstation hardware and software (examples: barcode scanners, monitors, label printers, error messages, PC issues, viruses, etc.), Server support and Network Support.
  • Provide support for on-site and remote end-users.
  • Document, track, and monitor incidents and requests in detail with follow-up within the Meissner ITSM platform.
  • Ensure ticket service level target is met through follow-up.
  • Follow escalation procedures to include other departments as needed, inside or outside of the IT Department.
  • Keep system images up to date.
  • Assist with new IT hardware deployment.
  • Maintain Cisco Telephony Systems - trouble response and user provisioning.
  • Support VPN client technology/connection.
  • Other technical support needs as required (examples: mobile devices, tablets, apps, etc.).

IT Maintenance:
  • Establish maintenance schedules of IT assets in the maintenance software.
  • Organize and assists Zebra label printer maintenance
  • Determine computer spare parts and hardware inventory levels.
  • Perform computer software updates, virus, and malware cleanup.
  • Set up and maintain special workstation image backups.
  • Monitor server rooms and related equipment (routers, UPS, etc.) on both system health and environment conditions.
  • Perform off hours maintenance and upgrades.

IT Projects:
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades.
  • Assist with network and telephony system upgrades.
  • Maintain and create IT documentation.
  • Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades.
  • Assist and support IT Developers with their project needs and deployments.

The skills and experience you'll need:
  • Minimum of High School diploma with 2-3 years working experience in a similar position.
  • CompTIA or other relevant certification, preferred.
  • Must be fluent with MS Office software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and have a working knowledge of operating systems and equipment.
  • Understand the operation and support of Microsoft Office and office 365 applications.
  • Must have strong English Language written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Windows Client and server operating systems (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of printing technologies and connectivity.
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), thin clients and RDP.
  • Networking technologies such as TCP/IP and stack, network cabling.
