    • Experience:
      • Must be able to work variable shifts,holidaysand/or weekends.
      • Must be able to take call rotation when required.
      • Must be able to perform all duties, including lifting and transferring, using proper body mechanics.
    • Licensure/Certifications: BLS
  • Preferred Requirements
    • Experience:
      • Knowledgeof hospital environment desired.
      • Previoushospital and/or health care related experience preferred
    • Licensure/Certifications: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)

  • Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well asappropriatesterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hands required/requested instruments and supplies tosurgeonduring surgery.
  • Assistswith preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracksinstruments countsthroughout procedures.
  • Placesequipment and supplies in the operatingor labor & deliveryroomsand arranges instruments according to preference cards.Cleansand checksequipmentarea.
  • Handsinstruments and supplies to surgeon, holds retractors, cuts sutures, and performs other technical tasks as directed by surgeon during operation.Orders, stocks, andmaintainssupplies for theOR andC-section suites.
  • Organizesinpreparation for end of case andassistsincleanup and turnover of rooms.Disposesof all sharps, biohazardous waste items appropriately.Handlesspecimens properly.
  • Reportsobservations of changes inpatient'sconditions and level of consciousness to an RN or LPNin a timely manner.
