The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent qualified candidates for the position of Technology Support Specialist.
TITLE: Technology Support Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Experience in troubleshooting computers
3. Familiar with networking concepts, hardware and usage
4. Good interpersonal relationship skills
REPORTS TO: Technology Support Specialists report to the Technology Director or designee
JOB GOAL: To assist in installation, maintenance and application of computer hardware and software in the school district.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Supports the District's mission and goals.
  2. Maintains confidentiality.
  3. Assists with other Central Office projects.
  4. Helps develop, implement and maintain a K-12 plan of computer support.
  5. Installs new computers, network hardware and relocates existing hardware.
  6. Installs hardware and software upgrades on District computers.
  7. Provides technology related curriculum support.
  8. Provides in-service workshops to small groups of school personnel.
  9. Provides computer hardware and software training to District personnel.
  10. Assists school staff in the creation of school and teacher websites.
  11. Assists in maintaining a computer inventory for the District.
  12. Performs maintenance and repairs to District computers.
  13. Assists in the account and other maintenance of District communications systems.
  14. Assists in maintaining and operating the District networking system.
  15. Keeps abreast of new technology and remains technically competent.
  16. Performs such other tasks as may be assigned by the Superintendent, Technology Director, or designee.

DAILY PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The following tasks are required for significant portions of a day or frequently over many days: twisting, stooping/bending, squatting/kneeling, walking and sitting.
OCCASIONAL PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The following tasks may be required for portions of a day or infrequently over many days: climbing, work above shoulder level, work below knee level, working in confined space, pushing, pulling, lifting (average load of 20 lbs./peak load of 50 lbs.)
