Join Creative Tech, a high growth IT consulting firm, as an IT Field Technician based in Skokie. You will visit our local clients around Chicagoland as well as travel to multiple-day client onboardings all throughout the U.S!

As an IT Field Technician, you will work with like-minded peers in a diverse and collaborative team to provide our clients with optimal system performance and a high quality of service. Proactively embracing cutting edge technology solutions and taking pride in the knowledge gained through overcoming complex technical challenges can be expected. Please note this is travel oriented role, with consistent multi-day trips.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a results-driven team to ensure daily success and client satisfaction
  • Master handling, installing, and maintaining the diverse range of equipment we provide to clients: computers, laptops, kiosks, thin clients, and chrome devices
  • Respond to service request tickets timely and with considerable attention to detail
  • Effectively identify and set work priorities
  • Be able to travel overnight and out-of-state for multiple days at a time, 1-4 times a month
  • Collaborate with in-house team members to resolve issues and deliver optimal solutions
  • Pack computer equipment safely and securely to prepare for shipping
  • Drive locally to deliver equipment at client sites
  • Provide assistance to other departments as needed

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a passion for IT and takes pride in consistently delivering results
  • Has excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Has excellent customer service and communication skills, ensuring positive client interactions
  • Has extensive knowledge of current and recent versions of Windows OS
  • Has a solid understanding of network switches, routers, and IP protocols
  • Is experienced in troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware
  • Approaches work with a proactive, resourceful, and solution-focused mindset
  • Is courteous and professional in communication
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Owns a car with a valid driverโ€™s license
  • Is able to travel overnight and out-of-state for multiple days at a time, 1-4 times a month
  • Is capable of lifting 30lbs and climbing a ladder when necessary

Creative Tech provides comprehensive support for work-related travel, including gas cards and iPass. For overnight travel, the company handles planning and accommodations and offers a generous per diem along with overnight bonuses.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $19-25/hr
