Job description

Position Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is in search of an organized, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Fiscal Services Tech. This position reports directly to the Accountant III and will be the main point of contact for the Department Finance Team.

The successful candidate will thrive in a detail-oriented role which requires the performance of repetitive tasks accurately and consistently. Experience is preferred but not required. The chosen applicant is expected to demonstrate a broad knowledge of UNM procurement rules and procedures by the end of the probationary period. Only applications which include all of the items listed in the application instructions below will be considered.

This position affords an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement within the UNM system.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Processing purchasing and reimbursement requests
  • Entering data into and ensuring the validity of department financial databases
  • Tracking balances in various indices as funds are expended
  • Monitoring and answering e-mails in a shared e-mail inbox
  • Categorizing and reconciling receipts to purchases and packing slips
  • Reconciling credit card purchases in Chrome River
  • Infrequent travel to off-campus vendors to complete purchases
  • Other duties as assigned
