The Role

RedMane has a full-time opportunity for a Java Developer/Analyst as we continue to grow our Chicago based practice. As a Developer/Analyst you will provide system analysis, development and production support as part of a project team. The Developer/Analyst will design functional and technical approaches to create and customize functionality. The Developer/Analyst is also responsible for the execution of testing, training, support of user testing and customer support post implementation.

Skills & Role Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' of Java 8 based Web Application development experience with a strong understanding of Core Java fundamentals.
  • Experience with WebSphere or any application server JBoss, Tomcat, etc.
  • Expertise in working with JSP and servlets.
  • Experience in remediating vulnerabilities identified in penetration testing.
  • Ability to articulate and document a detailed technical design.
  • Analyze and revises existing system logic and provides concise documentation.
  • Provide support and enhancements to legacy production systems.
  • Perform review of code from team members and ability to mentor team members
  • Hands-on experience with SQL server, DB2 knowledge a plus
  • Work both independently and as a strong team player to deliver quality technology solutions.
  • Minimum education required is a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or directly related field.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000/year to $160,000/year.
