This position is remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a structured work schedule of 40 hours per week. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will engage in a range of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health status of students and their families while utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) for accurate diagnoses.
• Designing personalized treatment plans that reflect individual and family needs, ensuring cultural sensitivity and applicable interventions that address specific challenges related to cancer.
• Maintaining precise documentation of treatment records, progress notes, and other clinical documentation using state-of-the-art technology in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Employing evidence-based practices to monitor patient progress, providing therapeutic interventions that promote symptom reduction and emotional support.
• Collaborating effectively with other healthcare providers, educational staff, and community resources to create a robust support system for patients and their families.
• Facilitating educational sessions and mentorship opportunities for interns, residents, and other trainees within the clinical setting, enhancing their learning experience.
• Participating in peer reviews, chart audits, and clinical case discussions to continuously improve service quality and team education.

The primary focus of this position involves supporting children and adolescents affected by cancer, as well as their families. The social worker plays a crucial role in addressing the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of living with a chronic illness. By providing counseling services tailored to the unique needs of these patients, the social worker helps foster resilience and adaptive coping strategies in challenging circumstances.

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.
• Experience working in mental health, preferably with pediatric populations or oncology care.

Preferred candidates will have:

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
• Familiarity with school systems and the ability to develop collaborative relationships with educators and administrative staff.
• Previous experience in a remote work setting, demonstrating self-motivation and effective time management skills.

Cornerstone Mental Healthcare offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications.
