Job Description

Wage: $31-$35 Per hour ($26-$30 Base Wages, PLUS $5.00 Shift Differential)

Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Thursday: 5:00pm-5:15am

Job Description

PLC technicians must monitor and operate machines designed to perform tasks with minimal human intervention. Technicians check meters and gauges to verify that machines work properly and analyze the results to ensure they meet company standards. They also troubleshoot problems and perform repairs when machines develop problems, preferably while processes continue to run. Must also prepare reports for managers and recommend upgrades or changes to processes. 

Job Related Skills/Responsibilities

         Think critically to solve problems and be detail oriented.

         Be comfortable using digital hardware and software.

         Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.

         Report all accidents and deficiencies to the lead/foreman/supervisor.

         Ensure safety devices are installed and working properly.

         Suggest improvements; continuously improve the quality of all support activities.

         Adhere to all company personnel policies.

         Follow daily production schedule and help achieve specified goals.

         Ensure product conforms to specifications.

         Follow good manufacturing practices, along with company SOP's and SSOP's.

         Use industrial programming skills to program, train, operate, and maintain  automated equipment.

         Self-Motivated to work independently with or without supervision with solid follow  through.

         Proficient understanding of ladder logic programming.

         Maintain and update existing PLC / Controls system.

         Work with Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot machine issues.

         Research and integrate new systems and/or technology.

         Maintain accurate records pertaining to work performed.

Administrative Skills

         Able to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment.

         Able to effectively communicate using the English language (speak, read, and  write).

         Have general maintenance knowledge.

         Able to follow instructions.

         Able to perform general maintenance.

         Have good problem-solving abilities.

Safety

         Monitor Unsafe Behavior.

         Follow all OSHA Guidelines.

         Immediately report all accidents and deficiencies to management.

Qualifications

Associates Degree (or equivalent).

         Proficient with industrial programming:

                      i.      Wonderware Software

                      ii.      Allen Brady (Logix 500, Logix, 5000, Studio 5000, Factory Talk ME)

                      iii.      Bosch-Rexroth (Indra Works, Indra Logics)

Programs will be dependent on the area you will work in.

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Desired Qualifications

         1-3+ years previous experience in automation.

         Robotics/Automation specialization and training.
