Job description

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.

As a Technical Account Executive, you will utilize your deep technical knowledge, sales skills, understanding of customer issues, and broad industry knowledge to maximize the value of Cadence solutions and flows. You will develop, lead, and close technical campaigns that introduce new technologies and methodologies propelling project teams to overachieve. The success of campaigns will rely on your strong relationship building and superior communications skills to fuse customer engineers, customer leadership, application engineers, corporate resources, sales executives, and partners into a single team driven to excellence. Supporting you is the most successful, collaborative, and fun team in the Electronic Design Automation industry.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must have a deep technical knowledge and understanding of the digital design flow from RTL to GDSII including high-level synthesis, RTL synthesis, static timing analysis, power analysis/optimization, equivalence checking, DFT, digital implementation, place and route, electrical signoff, and physical signoff.
  • Must have a proven track-record demonstrating ability to identify and understand customer's technical and business challenges and the ability to drive cross-functional teams to manage projects internally and manage campaigns externally with customers.
  • Must have a knowledge of AI/ML digital design and optimization methods and associated EDA technology awareness.
  • Must have ability converse with and influence upper-level management technology and business discussions to help drive multi-million-dollar, complex sales campaigns.
  • An understanding of the capability and competitive value provided by Cadence digital design and implementation tools, flows, and solutions, and the ability lead Cadence technical teams connect those to customer needs.
  • An understanding of digital requirements, ecosystems, and certification/assurance requirements in aerospace/defense, automotive, industrial, and medical markets.
  • An understanding of mixed-signal IC design and package design.
  • Knowledge of the complete sales process, services SOW process, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact with engineering and financial staff at all levels.
  • Results driven with a proven track record of successfully managing conflicting priorities and meeting goals.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in the electronic design environment
  • 4+ years of experience in pre-sales roles

Education:

MS or BS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

The annual salary range for California is $192,000 to $288,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
