Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods for accuracy and condition, and record receipt in the inventory management system.
- Ensure all received products are properly labeled, documented, and stored in the designated areas.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments.
Shipping:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of products.
- Schedule and coordinate transportation carriers to meet delivery deadlines.
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and report any discrepancies.
- Assist in the organization and optimization of warehouse space.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to reorder inventory as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Prepare reports on shipping and receiving performance and inventory levels.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements related to shipping and receiving.
Communication:
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with various departments, including purchasing, sales, and production, to ensure efficient operations.
- Handle inquiries and provide assistance to internal and external stakeholders regarding shipping and receiving matters.
- Participate in meetings to report daily shipping activities and plan daily tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving coordination or a related field.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.Knowledge of shipping regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
