Job description

Hiring Lead Educators and Associate Educators for after school Visual Arts classes throughout the Bay Area. Each position is 2-3 hours a week. Contracts are September-December with the opportunity for extension. All employment is on site.

Who we are:
A-Z Creativity LLC is an arts education organization that specializes in fostering intentional creativity in children through engagement and exploration in the visual arts. Our classes build confidence and inspire children by intentionally teaching material skills and creating an environment that allows for open-ended exploration and problem solving.
Responsibilities Include:
-Maintaining material bin (stored on-site or at a nearby storage unit indicated by [SU] in the posting)
-Teaching pre-written open-ended visual arts curriculum to children ages 3-4 and/or 5-9, unless otherwise specified.
-Maintaining child safety and classroom management
Requirements:
-Be able to pass a background check & TB test
-Experience working with children
-Ability to lift 35 lbs, stand and walk for 2 hours, bend, kneel, sit, or crouch.

-Short videos on technical instruction/ demonstrations to equip you, the teacher, with the knowledge you need to be successful
-Guided curriculum that scaffolds student learning while allowing for choice
-Flexibility within the curriculum that allows you to make decisions that are best for the students and the class.
Pay is commensurate with experience, ranging from $35-$45/hour for Leads & $25-$35/hour for Associates. The interviewing process entails a 15 minute phone interview followed by a 30-45 minute in-person interview and reference check.
