Position Announcement
Utah Valley University (UVU) is seeking a motivated and responsible Teaching Assistant (TA) to support the faculty in the Finance and Economics department. Each TA will be assigned to the courses where support is needed.
Summary of Responsibilities
  • Perform various tasks for the instructors. Tasks may include:
    1. Grading
    2. Managing late passes
  • Assist the instructor with managing course materials and grading assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
  • Must be a current UVU student.
  • Must have a major and/or minor in the Finance and Economics Department or have completed the specified course
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Dependable, approachable, and able to maintain confidentiality.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in peer tutoring, mentoring, or teaching.
  • Interest in personal finance and helping students succeed in practical financial literacy.
  • Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
