As we continue to grow, we are seeking multiple energetic and qualified Farm Shop Mechanic to take our team to the next level of excellence we are striving for.
What We're Looking For:
We are currently hiring a full-time non-exempt (overtime qualified) Farm Shop Mechanic. The ideal candidate must have strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of working with farm equipment.
Description of Primary Duties for Open Position:
  • Must be able to travel for long periods of time during green bean harvest season to repair equipment, operate equipment, move equipment, and perform other duties that help to ensure a successful harvest.
  • Drive tractor or dump truck.
  • Work in farm shop repairing and refurbishing farm equipment during the off season.
  • Diagnose (troubleshoot) and repair of gas engines, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, etc.
  • Reading of wiring schematics.
  • Ability to arc weld, fabricate, and use gas torch for welding and cutting.
  • Ability to work with tools such as presses, band saw, chain hoist, air tools, grinders, and hydraulic jacks.

Minimum Qualifications/Certifications/Experience Required:
  • Must have own tools for the job,
  • Must be willing to be away from the plant for an extended period during the harvest season.
  • Must have work experience in gas and diesel mechanical.
  • Must have experience in and ability to repair heavy electrics on machinery.
  • Must have experience in and the ability to fabricate, weld and use a cutting torch.
  • Must have hydraulics experience including troubleshooting and rebuilding hydraulic systems.
  • Must have ability to read electrical and hydraulics schematics related to this department.
  • Reliability, excellent attendance.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record with the ability to obtain a medical card and chauffer's license.
  • Flexibility to work a day or night shift.
