Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Building and Grounds Director in formulating procedures, managing daily operational activities and planning use of materials, means, methods and human resources toward maximum productivity and quality of Tribal projects. The incumbent serves as the primary construction project liaison between the Building and Grounds Department and the Tribal Community Development Department (TCD) for construction projects administered by TCD that will be turned over to the Building and Grounds Department for long-term maintenance and operation. The incumbent is responsible for Building and Grounds Department review of design plans for construction projects. The incumbent provides technical assistance in determining construction project site observations; recommends, implements, and administers methods, processes and procedures for the effective operation and facilitation of site observations. The individual ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and stakeholder expectations. The incumbent reviews daily field observation reports and oversees the quality of construction for projects to ensure construction projects are completed in accordance with contract documents, plans, and specifications. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field is required. A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience overseeing the administration of construction projects, including five (5) years of experience in an administrative leadership capacity, or managing staff is required; or any equivalent combination of relevant education/training and experience will be considered. Demonstrate intermediate skills using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, etc.). Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License and be able to travel to all STOF Reservations and facilities. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
