Basic Qualifications:
 
 Must be 18 years of age or older
  No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
  No experience required and on the job training provided.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  One (1) year of prior multi-line reception experience or dispatching experience preferred
Responsibilities:

 Coordinate and manage the efficient flow of taxis and drivers.
 Receive calls, determine the suitable taxi availability, and direct taxis to customer locations.
 Communicate with dispatch staff to arrange for taxis to be dispatched immediately or at a specified time.
 Manage dispatching operations such as making sure vehicles have gas and oil to keep them running.
 Track taxi activity to ensure that vehicles are dispatched in accordance with local laws and regulations.
 Coordinate with taxi companies to provide service to special events and conventions.
 Maintain communication with taxi drivers to ensure they reach customers quickly or punctually.
 Track driver activity to ensure they take efficient routes and follow all traffic laws and regulations.
 Use modern routing software in order to develop, alter, and optimize delivery routes.
 Effectively communicate and serve as the liaison between drivers and customers.
 Remain agile and ready to handle sudden route changes or delivery issues.
