ATI Corporate is seeking a Tax Analyst to join our team in either our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or Dallas, Texas office. This is an onsite position 5 days per week. If you are looking for an opportunity to support a growing, world-class manufacturing company with multiple manufacturing operations, then this position is for you!

As part of our high-performing and contemporary tax team, the Tax Analyst plays an integral role in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, franchise tax returns, quarterly income tax provision analyses, and miscellaneous tax filings. This position is open as a result of retirements within the tax department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various tax matters including, but not limited to,
    • Federal and state income tax return preparation,
    • Franchise tax return preparation,
    • Quarterly income tax provision analyses, and
    • Miscellaneous tax filings.
  • Analyzing financial data, assisting with tax audits, tax research, tax project support, and proactively identifying process and technology improvements.
  • Ability to work independently on various tasks but also a willingness to work as a contributing team member to meet the various deadlines associated with returns and provision.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in tax compliance, or accounting. Relevant tax internship experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and detail oriented, have the capability to prioritize his/her workload, and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred:

  • CPA (progress toward) or Masters of Taxation degree is preferred.
  • Background in public accounting (Big 4 or similar) or experience working in a corporate tax department.
  • Experience with C Corporation tax returns and IRS Form 1120 highly preferred.
  • Experience in tax provision, Schedule M and deferred taxes for corporations preferred.
  • Experience with income tax compliance and income tax return preparation software (CorpTax and Oracle software platforms preferred)
  • Familiarity with interim and year-end income tax provision calculations (i.e. ASC 740)
