Rotation: Hybrid 5/2 (MON-FRI) 3 Days/WK In Office
Shift: 8HRs/Day (8am-5pm w/Hour @ Lunch)
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 Annually (Paid Twice Per Month)

Dumas is looking for a detail-orientated tax specialist to be responsible for tax-related tasks. The tax analyst's responsibilities include preparing all tax compliance, assisting in audits, and responding to tax correspondence.
To be successful as a tax analyst, you should be up-to-date with the latest technologies which assist in accounting duties, have an understanding of big data systems, and good communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch tax analyst should have strong analytical skills, pay attention to detail, and the ability to manage time efficiently.
 
Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Tax Analyst will support management with regards to tax advice and maintaining reliable and timely tax compliance information and analysis to support and recommend actions.  Together with the Tax Director, the Tax Analyst will define and develop the company’s overall tax strategy which will support the strategic agenda.  The Tax Analyst will manage all tax aspects and guide a tax specialist based in Mexico.  This will be a key role in reporting and compliance as well as developing and implementing tax compliance improvements.  As an integral part of the Dumas Finance team, this position will actively contribute to the net profitability of the company.
 
Competencies, Skills and Knowledge:  
  • CPA or appropriate tax certification (such as in-depth tax certificate – Level 1 or 2 or completion)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the tax area
  • Familiarity with preparing tax notes for consolidated financial statements reporting under IFRS
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to use judgment when setting priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Some experience of international tax regulations and transfer pricing, particularly Mexican preferred
  • Some proficiency in Spanish preferred
  • Accounting firm experience preferred
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Review the filing of the company’s indirect tax obligations, and prepare and file the annual T2 return, plus any associated T106/T1134/T1135.
  • Calculate quarterly and annual current income tax provisions.
  • Calculate quarterly and annual deferred income tax.
  • Prepare monthly tax reports for consolidation into the parent company’s financial statements.
  • Handle tax audits and inspection processes initiated by tax authorities, including responses to official information requests.
  • Compile documentation and information for transfer pricing report preparation and back up to transfer pricing arrangements.
  • Provide tax advisory support for the company’s operations.
  • Implement actions to ensure the company’s tax compliance is accurate and timely.
  • Ad hoc reports as required.
