Tax & Accounting Associate


Location: Knoxville, TN (On-Site)

Firm: TVAMP Tax Planning, LLC


TVAMP Tax Planning is the tax practice of TVAMP, an employee-owned, SEC-registered investment advisory firm based in Knoxville. We're growing our tax practice, and we're looking for a Tax & Accounting Associate to join us as part of that growth.


This role is primarily focused on preparing individual income tax returns, along with bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax reporting for a select group of business clients. You'll work directly with our Director of Tax in a collaborative environment where accuracy, organization, and dependability are valued.


Whether you've spent years at a local CPA firm, worked as a bookkeeper with tax preparation responsibilities, or are looking for a long-term home after preparing taxes for another practice, we'd love to hear from you.

Primary Duties

  • Prepare primarily individual federal income tax returns
  • Prepare partnership and S corporation tax returns as needed
  • Perform bookkeeping for select business clients
  • Process monthly sales and use tax returns
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Maintain organized electronic files and supporting documentation
  • Provide occasional administrative support as needed


Typical Workload

  • Approximately 75% tax return preparation
  • Approximately 10% bookkeeping
  • Approximately 10% payroll and sales tax reporting
  • Approximately 5% administrative support


Qualifications

  • Experience preparing individual income tax returns
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Experience preparing partnership and S corporation returns is a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines during tax season
  • Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your work
  • Experience with Drake Tax Software is a plus, but not required
