A Tattoo Designer creates custom tattoo artwork based on client requests, artistic styles, and body placement considerations. They may work independently or alongside tattoo artists to develop unique designs that align with a client's vision. Tattoo Designers need strong drawing skills, creativity, and an understanding of tattoo techniques, even if they do not apply the tattoos themselves. Some also use digital tools to refine their designs before they are inked onto the skin.

A typical day for a Tattoo Designer involves consulting with clients to discuss their ideas, creating custom sketches or digital mock-ups, and preparing the necessary equipment and workspace for tattooing. You will spend time both designing new artwork and applying tattoos, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols throughout the process. Collaboration with other artists, learning new styles, and attending to aftercare instructions for clients are also routine parts of the job. The work environment is usually a tattoo studio, where you may work independently or as part of a creative team.
