Overview

Are you ready to join a growing team?

CTG is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Post Closing Specialist I to support the post-closing operations of a high-volume mortgage department. This role is ideal for someone with mortgage operations or financial services experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Location: Williamsville, NY
Duration: 6 months (Part-Time, 3 days per week)

Primary Responsibilities
  • Process and track incoming mortgage closing packages, credit files, mail, and trailing documents.
  • Update mortgage production and file tracking systems with accurate documentation status.
  • Prepare and scan mortgage files into the imaging system.
  • Audit mortgages, assignments, CEMAs, final title policies, and related documentation for investor compliance.
  • Process checks received with closing packages accurately and promptly.
  • Contact settlement agents and title companies to obtain missing or corrected documents.
  • Generate and monitor daily reports, resolving documentation exceptions as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external business partners to ensure timely file completion.
  • Support compliance, operational risk, and audit requirements while maintaining accurate records.
  • Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • One year of business experience, preferably in mortgage operations, lending, title, or settlement services.
  • Prior mortgage and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general PC skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
