Job description

Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the overall quality of the boat. This person ensures that all options and functions are checked and operate correctly along with ensuring the boat meets the cosmetic criteria and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities /Duties/Functions /Tasks:

  • Perform the inspection required at the specific checkpoint and enter results in the data collection software.
  • Must have the ability to be cross trained in all inspection points which may include but are not limited to:
    • Vital to Quality (safety) verification
    • Regulatory verification
    • Functional verification
    • Cosmetic verification
    • Ensure all options in boat
    • On-the-water function and performance verification
  • Must be able to provide audits in all areas to support improvement activities
  • Must be team oriented, able to interact positively, and contribute to positive morale in the department.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
  • Report to work on time and stay in good standings with Maverick’s attendance policy.
  • All duties must be performed in accordance with Maverick’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Basic computer skills are required

Physical Demands:

  • Bending, kneeling (squatting), lifting, and twisting continuously throughout the day.
  • Being able to stand/walk for up to or if not longer 8 hours each day.
