Job description

Midwest Kitchens, in Erie, PA, is seeking to hire a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. Midwest Kitchens is a premium food service cook plant that uses sous vide cooking to prepare various products for commercial kitchens. The Warehouse Associate will have an adaptable role in supporting the plant in many areas. The warehouse associate is essential to the company's success, from food preparations to packing, sanitation, and more.
Wage: $19.00per hour
Shift: Monday through Friday, 5:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.

*** This position will require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above, reaching across, using repetitive motion, heavy lifting, and the ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours daily. The Warehouse Associate will be exposed routinely to adverse temperatures, ranging from hot/warm, to cold 20-40° F, damp/wet, and freezing temperatures. In addition, this position requires the use of sharp cutting tools. ***
Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading shipments
  • Working in freezers and coolers to appropriately store and prepare raw meat
  • Propper preparation of raw meats
  • Sous vide cooking
  • Packing of the finished product
  • All other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of this position, including heavy lifting, standing and walking throughout the entire shift, bending, and twisting
  • Ability to work on surfaces such as concrete, wood, or metal that are sometimes wet or slippery
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire drug screen
