In this role, you would perform a wide variety of research, compliance, auditing, and other consulting tasks in our Government Consulting Department. Additionally, you would train and lead Associates by delegating work, reviewing it, and advising on revisions.

YOUR ROLE
  • Government Consulting & Technical Expertise: Perform diverse Government Consulting assignments and develop specialized expertise within specific contracts. Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality, professional and firm standards, and the ability to identify and define business and technical needs.
  • Project Leadership: Plan and coordinate Government Consulting work across multiple engagement teams while managing assignments within established time frames, scope, and budget constraints. Direct and supervise Associates and Business Analysts, evaluate their work, and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Client Service Communication: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key client personnel through timely and professional communication. Deliver client presentations, direct client meetings, provide excellent customer service, and communicate effectively with engagement teams and supervisors.
  • Research, Problem Solving & Technology: Conduct research, identify and resolve problems, and review firm reports for appropriate presentation and disclosures. Proficiently use engagement and project-specific software and resources, including Excel, Word, CaseWare, Box, Smartsheet, and other applicable programs.
YOUR SKILLS
  • Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience in Accounting or CPA firm or professional services environment preferred. Three years of related work experience. Advanced degree or Professional License may be substituted for two years of experience. Prior experience in Accounting, Government Consulting, or similar role preferred.
  • Skills: Apply deep knowledge of federal accounting, auditing, and compliance frameworks, specifically supporting Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) contracts. Evaluate and rigorously review workpapers, financial reconciliations, compliance filings, and supporting documentation prepared by Associate-level staff to ensure strict adherence to quality and compliance standards. Leverage advanced enterprise and government systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Salesforce, Smartsheet and Box.Analyze complex datasets, synthesize findings, resolve discrepancies, and formulate data-driven recommendations and reporting packages for federal stakeholders. Leadengagement workstreams, establish project timelines, coordinate multi-faceted deliverable schedules, and ensure timely completion within project scope and budget. Delegateassignments to Associate staff, conduct thorough secondary quality assurance reviews, identify development areas, and uphold overall deliverable standards. Instructand deliver internal educational sessions, onboard new team members, and mentor Associate staff on compliance procedures and analytical methodologies. Communicatecomplex technical and compliance concepts clearly to CMS officials, client leadership, and multidisciplinary teams across written and verbal channels. Facilitateclient discussions, status briefings, and training workshops by planning agendas and presenting tailored materials. Identifypotential regulatory risks proactively, investigate emerging issues, and develop pragmatic compliance solutions in dynamic government contracting environments.
