Position Overview IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to perform sentence calculations and process a variety of paperwork. In addition, this position will process disciplinary tickets, prepare information packets for writs and furloughs, maintain master files, and keyboard a variety of complex documents. Essential Functions Performs complex sentence calculations and processes the necessary paperwork for Earned Discretionary good time, educational and work assignment good conduct credits, revocation/restoration of good conduct credits. Processes disciplinary tickets, i.e. recording, filing, proper calculation and notification of grade demotions/loss of privileges resulting from disciplinary action in accordance with Department Rules/ Administrative Directives. Accurately and timely prepares information packets for court writs and furloughs. Maintains master files. Keyboards complex charts, statistical reports, documents, forms, memoranda, and letters including medical terminology where an understanding of specialized terms is required to ensure clarity and accuracy. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience. Requires ability to keyboard accurately 45 words per minute. Conditions of Employment Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen.
