This role focuses on coordinating and overseeing all inbound and outbound air freight activities for a dedicated key client within a bonded 3PL warehouse environment. You act as the primary liaison between the client, the warehouse operations team, and the New Mexico facility to ensure shipment visibility, inventory accuracy, and exceptional customer service. You manage shipment tracking, inventory reporting, and proactive communication while working closely with transportation and warehouse teams to keep freight moving efficiently and compliantly.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for one assigned client, providing timely updates and clear communication on all logistics activities.
• Coordinate and monitor import and export air freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring on-time movement and adherence to requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with the client regarding shipment status, inventory levels, delays, and operational updates.
• Collaborate closely with the New Mexico warehouse team to align on inventory availability, receiving schedules, outbound orders, and shipment priorities.
• Track inbound and outbound shipments, identify potential transportation issues, and proactively resolve them to minimize service disruptions.
• Monitor inventory on hand and provide accurate, timely inventory reporting to the client.
• Coordinate shipment documentation and ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, inventory variances, and service-related issues in a thorough and timely manner.
• Update internal systems with shipment milestones, inventory movements, and customer communications to maintain accurate records.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements that improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Work within a large warehouse environment, supporting material handling activities and maintaining awareness of equipment use and safety procedures.
• Provide responsive and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns related to logistics and inventory.

• 2+ years of experience in import/export, air freight, logistics, transportation, or supply chain preferred.
• Strong understanding of inbound and outbound freight operations, including air freight processes.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating shipments and managing customer relationships in a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear client and internal team interactions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, tasks, and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and data management.
• Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP platforms preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer service mindset.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, inventory reporting, and system updates.
• Ability to work effectively in a warehouse setting with ongoing material handling equipment operations.
• Customer service skills to maintain positive relationships and deliver a high level of support.
• Basic understanding of inventory control practices within a warehouse.
• Ability to safely navigate a warehouse environment where forklifts and other equipment are in regular use.

• Experience in a bonded 3PL or similar logistics environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Comfort working with inventory management processes and reporting tools.
• Ability to collaborate across warehouse, transportation, and client teams to align priorities.
• Adaptability to changing shipment schedules and client needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift experience or exposure to material handling operations within a warehouse is beneficial.
• Strong time-management skills to handle multiple concurrent shipments and deadlines.
• Proactive approach to identifying process improvements and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The position is based in a large, secure storage warehouse where material handling equipment, including forklifts, is in consistent use. The environment is fast-paced and customer-focused, with regular coordination between the warehouse floor and office-based logistics activities using technology such as Microsoft Office and logistics systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
