Snowflake InvestmentData Platform Implementation
Role Purpose
The SnowflakeSolution Architect will define the target architecture for the investmentdata platform, ensuring that the solution is scalable, secure, governed,performant, and aligned with business and data requirements across public andprivate investment domains.
Domain Focus
Investment data,public/private assets, historical backfill, portfolio reporting, dataquality, and controlled delivery.
Snowflake, clouddata platform, ETL/ELT, data integration, governance, reconciliation, andBI/reporting consumption.
Delivery Context
Sensitivefinancial data environment; structured phased delivery with formalgovernance, sign-offs, and transition to support.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end solutionarchitecture for the Snowflake data platform.
- Design the target dataarchitecture, including ingestion, storage, transformation, semantic layers,security, governance, and consumption patterns.
- Define the Snowflakearchitecture across environments, warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, accesscontrols, data-sharing patterns, and performance strategy.
- Translate business andinvestment data requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Design integration patterns forinvestment source systems, accounting systems, portfolio systems, market datafeeds, reporting tools, and downstream consumers.
- Define the approach forhistorical data migration and backfill, including multi-year investmenthistory, data reconciliation, and auditability.
- Work with security andgovernance teams to define data access, masking, encryption, audit, lineage,and control requirements.
- Guide Snowflake Data Engineersand Integration Engineers during build and implementation.
- Review technical deliverables,data models, integration designs, and performance tuning approaches.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience in dataarchitecture, cloud data platforms, data warehousing, or analyticsarchitecture.
- Strong hands-on experience withSnowflake architecture and implementation.
- Experience designing dataplatforms for investment management, asset management, wealth management,capital markets, family office, private office, or financial-servicesenvironments.
- Experience with investment datadomains such as portfolios, holdings, transactions, performance, valuations,cash, benchmarks, market data, reference data, and historical investmentrecords.
- Experience with public andprivate investment data is strongly preferred.
- Experience with datagovernance, security, role-based access control, data lineage, and sensitivefinancial data.
