This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional mental health services via telehealth platforms, allowing you to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families.

About the Organization

EcoHealth Mental and Counseling Center is a forward-thinking clinic focused on enhancing personal well-being through evidence-based therapeutic practices. Our practice is committed to accessible mental health care, specifically targeting those with limited access to traditional treatment options. We pride ourselves on having a diverse team of mental health professionals dedicated to fostering personal growth and emotional well-being.

Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, providing flexibility while upholding a professional therapeutic setting. Telehealth services allow our counselors to connect with clients across various settings, extending our reach to individuals who may face barriers to receiving in-person care. You will have the tools and technology necessary to deliver your services effectively, with our support in managing billing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their mental health needs and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, groups, couples, and families, ensuring that each approach is tailored to the specific client’s situation.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused brief therapy to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care and ensure a holistic approach to client treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards to protect client confidentiality and promote safe care practices.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, training, and supervision to stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at EcoHealth, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Our target population consists primarily of families and individuals who may have limited previous access to mental health care due to socioeconomic barriers or geographic limitations.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with diverse clients.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health practices.
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and other digital communication tools.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse is highly desirable.
  • Experience utilizing evidence-based practices in a therapeutic setting.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $70,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance.
  • Access to malpractice insurance coverage.
  • Support in reducing administrative burdens related to billing and documentation.
  • Current caseload distribution based on availability and personal preference.
  • Attractive sign-on bonus for new team members, detailed during the interview process.
Career Growth Opportunities

We believe in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for professional advancement within our organization. Counselors will have the chance to participate in leadership workshops and training programs tailored to enhance clinical skills and administrative capabilities. This support is designed to empower our team members to excel not only in their current roles but also in future endeavors within the field of mental health.
