Job description

Job Description Title: UX Designer Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid) Duration: 12 Month Contract with the chance of extension/converting to full time (W2 ONLY, NO C2C) Assignment: Eligible for Contract renewal Resume must reflect the following: Visual Design acumen Implementation of Design Systems Use of Figma and/or Axure UX Design Candidate Requirements Target candidate: UX Designer with 5-7 years of experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating polished visual and interaction design work. Core expectation: Ability to partner directly with business units and internal customers to understand needs, clarify requirements, and translate them into intuitive user experiences and design solutions What to prioritize: Candidates who can synthesize research, stakeholder input, and business requirements into high-quality outputs (mockups, prototypes, user flows, and development-ready user stories) Core tools: Advanced proficiency in Figma and/or Axure. Industry/product context: Experience designing for internal enterprise tools, complex workflows, or operational environments is highly relevant.

Utility or other regulated-industry experience is a plus, but not required. Role scope: This is an individual contributor role, best suited for someone who can work independently while collaborating closely with senior designers, product teams and cross-functional partners. Key traits to screen for: Empathy, collaboration, initiative, and the ability to communicate design rationale clearly and iterate designs based on feedback.

Good signals: Candidates who show strong visual craft, examples of turning feedback into refined design work, and evidence of proactively driving design work from concept to delivery.
