CNC Process Technician — Swiss Lathe Setup

Precision isn’t just a target at The Lee Company—it’s the mission. Imagine arriving at a modern, air‑conditioned shop floor where cutting‑edge CNC systems await your expertise. With part drawings in hand, you orchestrate fixtures, indexing devices, and machine stops to machine complex components through drilling, milling, turning, grinding, and facing.

Your Mission

Transform specifications into finished, in‑tolerance parts by setting up and operating multiple machines. Using detailed instructions, standard coding, and operational data, you’ll mount tools, position workpieces, and verify reference points from the control console. You’ll maintain process stability by adjusting and re‑setting stops, sharpening tools as necessary, and keeping fixtures and clamping devices clear of chips. You’ll also restock materials and oils, report any machine or tooling concerns, and uphold a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

Capabilities We Count On
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school education.
  • Proven setup experience with Swiss lathes.
  • Fluency with computerized machine controls; adept with weight scales, comparators, microscopes, precision measurement instruments, hand tools, and specialized trade tools.
  • Computer skills for data entry and document production.
  • Mechanical aptitude paired with strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to proofread documents, read blueprints, train others, and complete production paperwork.
