Job description

The Austin Waldorf School (TAPPS 2A) is seeking a varsity volleyball head coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Having high school volleyball coaching experience at any level (1A-6A) is preferred but not required. Applicants need to be able to work in a collaborative environment and have strong communication skills with players, parents, administrators, and other coaches. This is a part-time stipend position.

The Varsity High School Volleyball Head Coach is required to:

  • Develop and lead practices appropriate for various skill levels.

  • Attend all practices and games (August-November)

  • Attend AWS athletics staff meetings as needed

  • Communicate regularly and professionally with student-athletes, parents, administrators, and other coaches.

  • Meet with players and parents as needed

  • Attend the TAPPS All-District Meeting at end of season

  • Attend and speak at the end-of-season banquet

  • Lead off-season workouts (March-May)

  • Lead the AWS volleyball summer camp & summer workouts (June-July)

  • Perform other duties as required
