Job description

The Tapered Design Specialist is responsible for providing tapered insulation designs

and takeoffs from architectural roof plans for commercial and residential low-slope

applications. This exciting role requires an individual who is team-oriented and has

strong customer service skills, often assisting the sales team with design solutions for

customers in challenging situations and providing professional and technical support.

Essential Duties:

· Provide accurate insulation material quotations for roofing contractors.

· Generate professional CAD-based shop drawings for submittals and installation

· Service support for the technical services team and territory sales managers

· Participate in team meetings and projects; engage in team discussions

Competencies:

· Self-starter, strong time management and attention to detail, team-oriented

· Complete assignments in a timely manner

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

· Strong ability to work independently

· Building strategic working relationships with the roofing contractors and vendors

· Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

· Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications

· Knowledge of Taper-Plus software is preferred.

· Knowledge and proficiency of AutoCAD is preferred.

· Intermediate-level Microsoft/Google applications

· Technical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry and roof application
