Tanning Associate Jobs in Philadelphia, PA (NOW HIRING)

The Tanning Zone was established in 2005 and currently operates across 5 locations in New Jersey with its headquarters located in Hamilton, NJ. We are looking for personable and dedicated professionals who are passionate about skin care to join our team! 

Tanning consultants are an essential part of our team. Our consultants directly assist our clientele and help ensure they receive a tanning experience specifically tailored to their individual needs by educating customers on the tanning process, the benefits of premium skin care products and the value of our other products and services. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to excel with a strong desire for both personal and professional growth. Familiarity with the sales process and a strong customer service background is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 17 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be neat, well-groomed, no visible tattoos or piercings, and attentive to appearance
• Prior experience in customer service or sales is highly preferred
• Must be on time and prepared to work as scheduled
• Must be friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic
• Must be flexible and adaptable; required to work evening, weekend, and/or holidays as well as work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and positive individuals who are passionate about the tanning industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in computers, iPad, cash handling, credit card equipment, and proper phone etiquette

Responsibilities:

May include, but not limited to:

• Greeting and welcoming clients upon each visit
• Performing a skin type evaluation and consultation to determine proper service needs and exposure schedules
• Thoroughly understand and explain the tanning process and educate clientele on the process
• Build and maintain client relationships by engaging with each client and understanding and meeting their specific needs
• Enter client data into the client database for accurate record keeping including client information, tanning and sales history, and account documents
• Complete and maintain all training and certification modules and remain up to date on latest training materials
• Evaluate client needs in order to recommend services and products that will assist them achieve desired results
• Achieve and maintain sales goals, while providing excellent customer service and next level professionalism
• Maintain up to date knowledge of all services, products, job duties, tanning regulations, memberships, and packages
• Properly follow opening and closing procedures 
• Attend mandatory employee meetings
• Assist management in ensure safety and compliance
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks throughout each shift and maintain all product displays and inventory
• Maintain a clean and organized work station

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform salon cleaning duties including but not limited to dusting, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, laundry, trash, etc
• Ability to Multi-task, such as, engaging with each client upon arrival and completing all cleaning tasks and duties when clients leave
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning and spa equipment
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and uphold all company policies and procedures
