Tanker Driver

Are you an experienced Class A CDL driver who takes pride in safety and reliability? BURNCO is hiring a Tanker Driver for our Texas Operations in Justin. If you have tanker or bulk hauling experience and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you will operate and maintain tanker equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and timely deliveries. You will perform inspections, follow dispatch schedules, and uphold our high standards for safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

What you will be doing

  • Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure all equipment meets DOT and FMCSA safety standards
  • Keep your equipment clean and road-ready โ€” wash your tractor and trailer at least once a week and maintain a tidy cab
  • Take part in monthly safety meetings to stay current on best practices and company procedures
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or injuries right away (no matter how minor) to your supervisor once it's safe to do so
  • Follow dispatch directions and schedules accurately, maintaining strong communication with the team

What we would like from you

  • Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable tractor / trailer driving experience
  • A High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Previous experience operating a tanker trailer or bulk tanker is preferred
  • Comfortable working in environments with potential for high noise levels
  • Able to work safely at heights of up to 9 feet
  • Strong sense of direction and ability to follow dispatch instructions accurately
  • Clean driving record that meets BURNCO's minimum qualifications
  • Dependable, detail oriented, and capable of carrying out driving duties efficiently and correctly
  • Focused, confident, and observant while on the job
  • Solid understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices

Location and other key details:

  • This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Justin site
  • This is a safety-sensitive position requiring successful completion of PSP, MVR, background check, pre-employment drug test, and DOT physical assessment prior to hire
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Able to perform essential physical tasks including climbing (stairs and ladders), balancing, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, and operating mobile equipment and hand / foot controls
  • Comfortable lifting and moving objects of various sizes and weights and using vibration tools when required
  • Capable of working safely in outdoor environments across all weather conditions, at heights up to 9 feet, and in areas with potential for high noise levels
