Job description

We're seeking a motivated, knowledgeable, and customer-focused sales professional to join the Jackson Group Peterbilt team. The ideal candidate would sell our inventory of used semi-trucks to owner-operators, fleet buyers, and logistics companies. You'll be responsible for generating leads, building long-term relationships, and closing sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Understand the terminology of the truck business and keeps abreast of changes in product technology, incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc.
  • Provides thorough product information and demonstration to all prospects.
  • Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail vehicle sales.
  • Turn closed deals over to the finance and insurance manager and present properly completed paperwork (i.e., insurance information, trade title, etc.).
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery (i.e., cleans vehicles, fills gas tank, and ensures all features are operational) before customer arrival.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
  • Follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes", and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
  • Works with the service department and body shop to ensure that vehicles are properly reconditioned on schedule.
  • Attend sales meetings.
  • Help with the used-vehicle inspection process.
  • Maintain a professional business appearance.
  • Write complete sales orders and process paperwork according to dealership policies.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Exhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, CRM software, and inventory management
  • Have or be able to get a CDL.
  • 2+ Years Sales Experience Preferred
