The City is looking for an effective, organized, and team oriented professional Capital Project Engineer to manage capital projects from design through construction and play a major role in the development of a thriving, diverse community.

Recruitment information: The first round of applications will be reviewed on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 5:00 pm. Default schedule will be the following: 5/8's Note: This position will be fully onsite for the first six months, after which eligibility for a hybrid work schedule may be considered. What will you do in this position.

Manage the design, development, and completion of public works capital projects by working and collaborating with private consultants Manage construction projects including the design, construction, engineering, right-of-way, utilities, and roadway Develops project objectives, work scope, cost estimates, and schedules Review and facilitate the review of engineering design and analysis A successful candidate in this position will: Work together with the Bothell Community and Departments to cultivate strong and successful partnerships. Quickly identify challenges and apply logical, evidence-based approaches to resolve them. Learn and adapt to new tools and systems with ease to support work efficiency.

Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally across a variety of settings. Strengthen internal and external partnerships to enhance collective success. Integrate feedback constructively to improve efficiency and service quality.
