Job description

Client Support Worker (CSC)
Program: DD Columbus Service Center
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Days position will work: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Population: I/DD individuals
Salary: $33,072 per year
Location(s) this position will serve: Muscogee County, Harris County, and Talbot County
Under general supervision, the candidate will work with the I/DD population and will:
  • Build manipulative skills
  • Complete daily tasks
  • Assist with personal hygiene as needed
  • Assist with lunch prep and cleanup
  • Complete daily documentation on the daily activities for each individual on caseload.
  • Provide direct training of basic personal and social skills and may provide simple work skills in a supported employment environment.
  • Assist with basic assessments to determine functional abilities.
  • Use observational skills to remain aware of behavior and physical conditions.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

In addition, the candidate must be caring, responsible, dependable, respectful, and understanding.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. The candidate must have a valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), Must have a personal, insured vehicle, as transporting is a part of this position. At least two (2) years of experience in the field or working with the I/DD population.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
