AI Automation Engineer

Nfinity Athletic

Job description

About Nfinity Athletic

Nfinity Athletic builds the gear, events, and technology that power modern cheerleading. We run a high-volume business across e-commerce, events, and team sales, with Salesforce and Shopify at the center.

We are a culture-first company. That does not mean soft. It means we care how people show up: reliable, direct, high ownership, and aligned. If you want politics, ambiguity, or a slow pace, this is not the place.

The Role

We are hiring a forward-deployed AI automation engineer to embed in the business and build working systems that move revenue. This is not a research job. This is not a prompt-only job. You will connect our tools, ship automations weekly, and build agent-style workflows that take real actions with guardrails.

You will work across Sales, E-commerce, Events, Customer Support, and internal ops. Your output is measured in shipped workflows and measurable lifts, not activity.

What You Will Own

AI + Automation across the ecosystem

  • Identify the highest ROI workflows to automate across Sales, E-comm, Events, Support, Ops.
  • Build agent-style workflows that can take actions (create/update records, trigger sequences, route conversations) with logging and audit trails.

Revenue engine (Salesforce + Shopify)

  • Lead-to-order automation, lifecycle tagging, attribution, and follow-up discipline.
  • Speed-to-lead improvements, pipeline hygiene enforcement, and conversion lift.

Chat-based selling

  • Implement chat flows that qualify intent, recommend next best action, recover carts, and route high-intent conversations to humans with full context.
  • Ensure chats and outcomes are captured in Salesforce, cleanly and consistently.

Operational leverage + reliability

  • Monitoring, error handling, retries, and clean logs. You build things that survive production.
  • Reduce manual work by replacing "tribal process" with systems.

Partner execution control

  • Keep outsourced e-comm partners on a tight backlog, clear acceptance criteria, QA, and weekly releases. You don't manage people, you manage output.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days

  • Map the top 10 workflows worth automating. Ship 2 production automations with logging and rollback plan.

By 60 days

  • Chat-to-lead and chat-to-order workflows live with tracking. Weekly release cadence established. Baseline metrics defined.

By 90 days

  • 6 to 10 workflows shipped. Measurable lift in at least one: conversion rate, cart recovery, speed-to-lead, show rate, AOV, or manual hours eliminated.

Who We Want

You are a builder who ships, not a talker who demos.

Required

  • 3 to 7 years in Business Systems, RevOps automation, Salesforce automation, or e-commerce ops with heavy automation ownership.
  • Strong Salesforce: objects, flows, permissions, reporting.
  • Strong Shopify: customer/order data, tags, Shopify Flow, app ecosystem.
  • Integrations: APIs/webhooks, auth, data mapping, logging, retries, idempotency basics.
  • Can write lightweight code (Python or JavaScript/TypeScript) to get real work done.

Strong signals

  • You can explain what broke after launch and how you made it reliable.
  • You measure impact and can tie your work to revenue or hours saved.
  • You are comfortable in a fast, direct culture where outcomes matter.

Not a Fit If

  • You want to do research, not implementation.
  • You avoid accountability, deadlines, or direct feedback.
  • You need a lot of management to stay on track.
  • You cannot show systems you personally shipped into production.

Hiring Process

Finalists complete a short paid practical that mirrors real work: design and implement a chat-to-Salesforce/Shopify workflow with logging, guardrails, and error handling. We care more about what you shipped than your pedigree.
